About Brooke Heppner
As a Marriage & Family Therapist Intern with over 3000 hours of clinical experience, Brooke believes therapy can be a transformative experience where clients can move toward living the life they want to live. Brooke strives to provide a place where clients can reflect and learn more about themselves, while also taking the necessary steps forward to achieve their goals and experience positive relationships and life interactions.
Brooke is a certified to lead domestic violence and anger management groups and she has also completed her Level 1 and 2 EMDR training, working toward becoming a Certified EMDR Therapist. EMDR is a therapy protocol that helps clients overcome the impact of emotionally damaging experiences, and Brooke has seen its effectiveness for all types of issues ranging from anxiety, PTSD, depression, phobias, abuse and self-esteem issues.
Specializing in working with teens, families and young adults, Brooke has addressed issues of sexual abuse, anxiety, depression, transitional periods, divorce, phobias, grief/loss, substance abuse, parenting issues, and conjoint work with children, teenagers and parents. Brooke also has extensive training in trauma, domestic violence and anger management issues.
Brooke is passionate about the trauma work she does, because she sees the relief it provides to her clients. With all her clients Brooke works to create a space where each person feels the freedom to be who they are where they are, and yet also feels challenged to learn and grow.
